The director who is immensely hopeful about his film also added that there is an audience base who is watching these films and these kinds of films are also getting acceptance.

Chirantan Banerjee who has composed the music of this film said “The lyrics are the king of the songs. There are three songs in the film which have been sung by me, Silajit da and Somlata. Mumtaz Sorcar, fresh from the success of her debut Bollywood film Saala Khadoos, will be seen in the role of Chitrangada in the film. “While many people are telling me that my character in Saala Khadoos was a difficult one, I personally believe that I have been more drained out while portraying Chitrangada. Bengali Audio Music Album of Boshonto Eshe Geche Launched; Actor Debshankar Halder trying a stint at Comedy with the Film

Music Launch of Bosonto Eshe Geche

The music launch of the upcoming Bengali film Bosonto Eshe Geche took place recently in the presence of Debshankar Haldar, Saswata Chatterjee, Tuhin Mukherjee, Agnijita Roy, Samidh, Soma, Ujjaini and director Arindam Chakraborty.

The film Boshonto Eshe Geche is a sex comedy involving two professors namely Ratikanta and Dr. Anupam Sen. The two professors are researching on the middle age sexual crisis of men and have come up with some innovative ideas. The professors develop a vaccine called “Excito-nito” to help solve the middle age crisis of the males. Shireen, daughter of Dr. Anupam Sen falls in love with Ratikanta. What happens as a result is what Boshonto Eshe Geche is all about.

“This is the first time that a sex comedy is done in Bengali film. There is nothing vulgar in the film and I have not resorted to slapstick comedy. Making Debshankar Halder act in a comedy role was a big challenge. He has always acted in serious roles and hence I thought of using him in this role. He has done a marvelous job. Apu da (Saswata Chatterjee) does comic roles but Debshankar da has surpassed him” said director Arindam Chakraborty.

The music of the film has been composed by Samidh. There are four songs in the film. Samidh, Timir, Ujjaini and Malini have lent their voices to the songs in the film. The lyrics of three songs have been penned down by Samidh while Soma has penned the lyrics of one song.

“I play the role of Ratikanta in the film. I enjoyed doing this film because every morning you read the newspaper or watch a television channel, you see depressing news- crime, corruption and other such things. Hence doing a comic role and giving the audience a chance to laugh for two hours is a great thing. I just hope they enjoy the film as much as we did while doing the film” said Saswata Chatterjee.

The film is slated for release on the 7th of August.
