Durga Puja witnessed a chocolate overhaul as Magnum ice cream, unveiled a first-of-its-kind iconic installation. Standing 18 feet tall, this magnificent Magnum inspired art installation was located next to the Singhi Park pandal in the city from 5th October to 11th October, 2016. Tollywood actress and Magnum aficionado Payel Sarkar unveiled the installation to the eager crowds of Kolkata.
This festive installation mirrored Bengali ethnicity and was adorned with 3D floral pattern inspired by the Bengali motifs. Representing Magnum colors of brown and gold, the 18 feet installation is painted in gold and adorned in 3D floral pattern with intricate Bengali motifs.
Actress Payel Sarkar said “Durga Pujo is one of our most revered festival and till today I am filled with nostalgia and excitement of friends and family getting together for it. The festival embodies the quintessential culture of Bengalis – a mélange of sweetness and festive fervor. And it is this essence that premium Belgian Chocolate ice-cream brand Magnum has captured through its larger than life installation. The floral motifs on the installation are absolutely beautiful and remind me of typical Bengali decorations.”
Through its larger than life installation, Magnum aimed to uplift the festive essence of Durga Puja. It was an endeavor to bring together people from all walks of life to celebrate, indulge and enjoy the mini moments of pleasure with their family and friends.
