Online Admission Portal Jumbodium Takes a Step Ahead To Change the Face of Education In India

Jumbodium

The need for a strong online medium to catapult any institution to new heights and to lay the child’s educational foundation is one aspect to consider. Finding that medium is quite another story. Using Jumbodium- the online admission application system, the procedure for applying to a single school or multiple schools becomes very easy. The Online Admission Portal Jumbodium was launched recently to cater to the needs of the people. This helps in saving time and is also cost effective. Schools can also use this online platform to manage their applications more efficiently as a result eliminating the tediousness of maintaining paperwork and malpractices. Jumbodium facilitates institutes to receive applications through the web.

Usually schools incur expenditure on the printing of the admission forms. This is also not good for the environment too. The use of so much paper leads to the cutting of many trees. There was no reliable way of knowing the demand among the parents. Chances were that the forms may be printed less or more by the schools. Chances of the admission forms being misplaced were also high. There was also the difficulty of stopping ineligible candidates from applying to the schools. It is very tedious to manually list out the application for each candidate and then manually check them against the documents submitted. This may result in delay and wastage of valuable resources. With the help of Jumbodium, one will be able to restrict the ineligible candidate right at the beginning.

With the help of Jumbodium, the parents will be able to save on time and money and apply in the schools of their choice. They will have to pay a nominal charge of one hundred and fifty rupees per application. The schools however will not have to pay anything for the services. Since the admission portal is in the initial stages, therefore focus is more on Kolkata. However, they want to reach out to nearly all the cities in India. The payment partner for this portal is Axis Bank and one can make the payment by Cheque, demand draft, credit and debit cards.

The future plans of this online admission portal include the starting of the online school management. For this service, the schools will have to pay a nominal fee. However, this is not a compulsory service and the schools may not opt for it. The second thing that they plan to do in future is to start analytical tests for students online. This will help students to prepare them for the competitive examinations.

With portals like Jumbodium, the face of education in India will surely undergo a transformation in the long run.

Song Recording of Solo Album Kachhakachhi Aalo Chhaya By Bangladeshi Artist Sithi Shah

Audio-recording-Kolkata

The recording of the solo album of upcoming Bangladeshi artist Sithi Shah’s debut album Kachhakachhi Aalo Chhaya took place at Sonic Solution. Srijato along with Indraadip Dasgupta was present at the recording session at the studio.

The album has one single song which will be released on the digital media. The singer who had participated in a singing reality show earlier was excited about the recording session. Speaking at the recording session, the singer said “I am happy that my song has lyrics by Srijato and music by Indraadip Dasgupta. The reason why I chose to do a single song is because no one buys a music CD now. Releasing a music album would not make much difference. Hence the best idea is to record a song and release it digitally. In that way you reach out to more people”.

Interview: Sa Re Ga Ma Pa 2016 Contestant Senjuti Das on Her Experience of Participating in Singing Reality Show (Sholoana Bangaliana Exclusive)

Singer-Senjuti-Das

Sa Re Ga Ma Pa contestant Senjuti Das received rave reviews for her singing capabilities from the judges at the show. In her first singing stint, she has made her presence felt. Sholoana Bangaliana correspondent engaged in a candid conversation with the singer. Excerpts..

Priyanka Dutta, Sholoana Bangaliana- When did you began to learn singing?

Senjuti- I began to learn singing in 2007. Initially I used to learn dancing. But since the dance teacher got married off, that put an end to my dancing lessons. My parents thought that I had a good voice and hence I started taking singing lessons. I used to learn Rabindra Sangeet from Nita Mukherjee and commercial songs were taught to me by Biswajit Roy. After some time I got the chance to enroll myself at Sruti Nandan. I am learning Classical songs there under Pandit Ajay Chakraborty.

How did Sa Re Ga Ma Pa happen?

Senjuti– I went to give the auditions to gain experience. I have never sung in front of a live audience or performed on stage. I thought it will be a great firsthand experience. I was not sure whether I will be getting the chance or not. But luckily I got through the auditions and that opened up new avenues.

Senjuti-Das-Saregamapa

How was the experience at Sa Re Ga Ma Pa?

Senjuti- The experience was extremely good. I learnt many things in a funny manner. I have learnt from the judges as also from my fellow participants. I also received great feedback from the judges which boosted me morally. We also used to have grooming classes. Pritam da was everybody’s favorite. My Hindi was not that fluent but he assured me that will not be a problem. Sajid-Wajid taught us about the history of Classical songs. It was an enriching experience.

Who are your favorite singers?

Senjuti- My favorites include Lata Mangeshkar, Pandit Ajay Chakraborty and Arijit Singh.

Have you received any offers?

Senjuti- I have not received any offers at the moment.

Singer-Senjuti-Das

What are your next plans?

Senjuti– I want to continue learning Classical music. I will also enroll myself for a course in sound engineering. All the good singers have sound knowledge about the various aspects of sound engineering. I also plan to enhance my knowledge. I will be enrolling myself for the course in Mumbai. Initially Pritam da will be guiding me.

What has been the reaction of your parents after your success at Sa Re Ga Ma Pa?

Senjuti- I have never been interested in studies. I have always been bent on the creative side. That is the reason why I was made to learn dance. But after my dance teacher was married off, they decided that I must learn singing. Whether I learnt singing or dancing, it has been their idea actually. I am glad I could make them happy and proud.

Where do you see yourself in the next five years?

Senjuti- I want to become a playback singer. For that I am prepared to put in the requisite hard work. I hope that will lead me on the path to achieve my goals.

Wishing the talented young singer all the best for her future endeavors!!
