Holi, one of the most joyful festivals for Hindus, affirms spiritual harmony within families and communities. It helps revitalize relationships and strengthens emotional bonds between children and parents. Faced with several socio-economic challenges, street children are a vulnerable group in society and require special care and protection. With an aim to add colors of fun and shades of joy to their lives, Power FM, Berger paints India Ltd and Emami Chisel Art came together to celebrate the vibrant festival of Holi with active participation of children from The Hope Foundation at South City Mall. The theme of the event was “Colors Unite”. Eminent painter Wasim Kapoor, Mr. Avijit Dutta, Chief Manager, Berger Paints India Ltd and fashion designer Agnimitra Paul were present at this event.
The activity at the event involved the less privileged children painting the canvas with vibrant colors. The colors were the hand prints of the little children from the HOPE Foundation, as the children are the future of the country. Wasim Kapoor encouraged the children and along with Agnimitra Paul offered guidance to them and give a proper meaning to the canvas in the form of a signature artwork. He added colorful touches to the canvas with his master strokes. The piece of this special Wasim Kapoor art will be kept at the Emami Chisel Art.
Speaking on the occasion Wasim Kapoor said “Holi is one of the most joyous occasions and I am delighted to see these children participating in this celebration. I am grateful to be a part of this initiative and this small gesture will make a bit of difference to the lives of the little ones”.
An amount of 4,00,000 rupees was donated to the kids of Hope Foundation. The children were also gifted specially designed hampers. Thus Holi was made special for the children of Hope Foundation and this noble initiative was a huge success.
