Bengali specialty food serving restaurant Saptapadi has come up with a special Jamai Sasthi menu to celebrate the love and bonding between a mother-in-law and their son-in-law.

To celebrate the launch of this special menu, real life mother-in-laws and son-in-laws were called at the restaurant as guests for the unveiling of the menu. They are actually the guests who come at the restaurant regularly. Chef Ranjan said “Most restaurants bring celebrities for such events. But for us our patrons are our celebrities and hence we thought of bringing them to the restaurant for this unveiling of the menu”.

The Jamai Sasthi special thali consists of Rice, Pulao, Luchi, Beguni, Alu bhaja, Moori fish stick (2 pieces), Salad, Echor Dalna, Sorse Ilish (one piece), Chingri malaicurry (one piece), Mutton (two pieces), Chutney, Papad, Dessert (two types) and Pan.

The Jamai thali consists of Rice/Pulao, Luchi, Beguni, Moori fish stick (two pieces), Salad, Echor dalna, Alu Bhaja, Chingri malaicurry (one piece), Chicken (one piece), Mutto (one piece), Chutney, Papad and Dessert.

The delicious menu to pamper your son-in-law will be available from 10th to 12th June at Saptapadi restaurant’s outlets at Hindustan Park and Ganguly Bagan. The Jamai Thali will cost Rs 599 while the Jamai Sasti special thali is priced at Rs 999.

Kolkata Restaurant Aaira’s Bengali buffet spiced up the Durga Puja 2015 Celebrations for the Food Loving Bengalis

If you are looking for a sumptuous Bengali fare to pamper your taste buds during the festive season, step into Middleton Row and head straight to the Indian restaurant Aaira.

Aaira had stacked up an exclusive Indian and Bengali buffet titled ‘Aaira Puja buffet’. The buffet showcased the best of traditional Bengali delicacies on all days from October 19 to 23.

The Bengali food lovers could start with Aampora Sorbot and binge into the non-vegetarian fare with Bhetki Macher Paturi, Chingri Malai Curry, Kancha Lankar Mangso to name just a few. Desserts available included Pantua, Chennar Malpua, Malai Chomchom and special Baked Rosogolla.

 The Buffet spread was priced at Rs. 699(Tax) only.
