Rupankar Bagchi’s 20 Years in the Musical Industry
“My first album was not bought by much people. A few friends and my family members bought the album. I will like to sing the title track of that album in today’s event and begin the event” said Rupakar at the event Ponoroy Bish. The event Ponoroy Bish was held to celebrate Rupankar Bagchi’s twenty years long journey in the music industry.
Presented by Shyam Sundar Co. Jewellers and organized by Behala Sanskritik Sammilani, the one of its kind initiative saw a huge turn up of people. Eminent personalities like Srikanta Acharya, Joy Sarkar, Mir and others could also be seen seated among the audience.
Rupak Saha of Shyam Sundar Co Jewellers said “Rupankar has been regaling the audience for the past twenty years with different genres of songs. This is the reason we thought of celebrating his twenty years in the music industry”.
The singer mesmerized the audience by singing songs from films like Baishe Srabon, Satyanweshi, Jatishwar and others. He also regaled the audience by singing songs from his private albums.
Ponoroy Bish therefore was a grand musical event and Rupankar Bagchi ensured that he kept the audience glued to their seats with his mesmerizing voice.
Bishwa Bandhan Foundation (India) for Cerebral Palsy observed Safer Society Day through a musical on the day of Abhishek Mitra’s 1st death anniversary at Nazrul Manch. Renowned singers like Kumar Sanu, Abhijeet, Rupankar, Babul Supriyo, Jolly Mukherjee and Raya Bhattacharya graced the occasion while Satinath Mukherjee anchored the show.
The foundation is appealing to the citizens of every corner of the society to observe Safer Society Day on 26th June. Their sole aim is to save people who are medically suffering and losing their lives due to lack of medical awareness. They would like to promote medical awareness amongst people with support from medial fraternities and educate everyone about the mishaps which can happen to anyone for lack of medical knowledge or skill.
These efforts have been supported by different heads of states including the King and Queen of the Netherlands, President of India, Switzerland, Hungary, Heads of the Governments including Prime Minister of UK, Canada, Luxemburg, Switzerland, Governor and Chief Minister of West Bengal, eminent musicians like David Garrett, player, head of the organizations like Michel Platini, president of UEFA, Chairman of UBS and celebrities of different parts of the world.
Thus, through the activities, it is hoped that they will be able to save millions of children and stand by the side of cerebral palsy affected individuals across the globe.
