Bon Appetit’s Twelve New Ways To Serve Hot Chocolate This Festive Season

As the chill in the air sets in, Bon Appétit, the Cafe has come up with a menu that can bring a smile on every face.  They have taken the humble hot chocolate to a new level altogether with the introduction of twelve warm beverages with a different twist in each.

Classic ultimate hot choc (Rich smooth hot chocolate topped with whipped cream), After eight hot choc (Dark hot chocolate with a refreshing whiff of mint), Christmas hot choc (Spiced, laced with brandy and filled with Christmas goodness), Prestine white hot choc (For the white chocolate lover, rich and creamy), Cinnamon apple white choc (The goodness of an apple pie blended into the molten white hot chocolate), Spiced hot choc (Nutmeg, mace and clove mixed with hot chocolate), Orange and ginger hot choc (Perfect contrast to the rich creamy chocolate, citric flavours with the warmth of candied ginger), Raspberry hot chocolate, Chili and pepper hot chocolate (Chilli oil and some hand milled pepper), Cookie and cream hot choc, Marshmallow hot choc and Hazelnut hot chocolate are on offer at this food joint.

Priced Rs. 89 onwards plus taxes, these delicious chocolate beverages will be available at Bon Appétit’s Hazra and Salt Lake outlet from 9 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Celebrate Christmas and New Year With Delicious Delicacies at The Gateway Hotel

As the year is coming to an end, soak yourself into the grand celebration of December’s special days – Christmas and New Year at The Gateway Hotel.

Buzz at The Gateway has lavish offerings which include Live Stations like the Mexican counter, Lebanese counter, the all-time favourite Kolkata Mutton and Egg Biryani, Roast Turkey Breast with Cranberry Sauce on the buffet. Sweet dishes like Plum Cake, Monkey Bread and many others will also be available. The Buzz-experience includes glass of Mulled Wine, Eggnog, Spiced Cider or a Hot Toddy as per your choice. Guests also get to experience a Live Crooner singing welcoming Father Christmas as well as the New Year.

Dinner Buffet on 24th, 25th December and 31st December 2016 (Christmas and New Year Eve’s Dinner) will be available from 7.30 pm to midnight. Afternoon brunch on 25th December and 1st January 2017 will be available from 12.30 pm to 3.30 pm.  Price per individual is Rs.1650 plus taxes. Liquor packages (A-La-Carte) will be available at Rs.1000 AI per person for 60 minutes. Unlimited Beer and Soft Beverages (A-La-Carte at Rs.700 AI per person for 60 minutes will also be available.

At Swirl one can enjoy an unlimited select bar with cheese station, truffle chocolates and delectable appetizers. The Swirl experience would include In-house Channel Music with an array of wines, alcoholic and soft beverages, and a lot more to spice up your mood. Available from 7.00 pm onwards till late midnight, there will be free pouring of kingfisher beer, wines, soft beverages and preserved juices at Rs.999 AI per person.

JW Marriott Kolkata, which opened a few months back, is gearing up to celebrate their first Christmas with Kolkatans! On 24th and 25th December, the hotel has planned brunch, lunch and dinner for the foodies.

On 24th December, Christmas Eve dinner at JW Kitchen will include an extensive and specially curated Christmas menu. Buffet Charges is Rs 1599 plus taxes per person. The timing is 7 pm to 11 pm. Christmas Eve Dinner at Vintage Asia with a set menu will cost Rs 1899 plus taxes per person. The timing is 7 pm to 11 pm.

On 25th December 2016, Christmas brunch at JW Kitchen will be serving an expansively designed buffet. This will mark the launch of their regular Sunday brunch. The buffet charges will be Rs 1599 plus taxes per person. The timing is 12:30 pm to 3pm. Christmas Dinner at JW Kitchen which will be a Buffet menu will cost Rs 1599 plus taxes per person . The timing is 7 pm to 11 pm. Christmas Dinner at Vintage Asia (which offers a fine dining Asian experience) has a set menu which will cost Rs 1899 plus taxes per person. The timing is 7 pm to 11 pm.

Cake Mixing at Park Plaza to Usher in Christmas Activities

Park Plaza organized a cake mixing ceremony recently in the august presence of Mr. Oliver Cassin, Deputy Consul, Consulate General De France, Mr. Marc Salesse, Consulate Officer, Consulate General De France, Subrata Banerjee, General Manager, Park Plaza and others.

With the help of this cake mixing ceremony, the tradition of cake mixing was revived with the people of the city. This cake mixing is usually done before Christmas.

Amidst loads of cheer, loads of ingredients like cherries, rum, whiskey, wine, fruits and others were mixed by the assembled guests. The mixed ingredients will be used in the making of plum cakes and puddings.
