Glimpses from Shambhu Nath Nritya Utsav 2013

The Shambhu Nath Nritya Utsav 2013 was held in Kala Mandir Kolkata on the 8th and 9th of March, 2013. It was a 2 day artistic extravaganza that also saw the presence of celebrities like Dolon Roy.

Smt. Tanushree Shankar and her trope also graced the occasion with a grand performance.

Right from the works of Tagore to some mesmerizing Santhali Dance performances, all formed a part of this festival.

The main highlight of the event was the dance performance depicting Delhi Gang Rape Victim Nirbhaya’s plight and the general wrongs that have now become rampant in the society. As the event commenced on International Women’s Day i.e March 8th, this attempt to coax the society to protect and respect women was highly appreciated by the audience present.

Such beautifully organized events only keep the spirit of Kolkata alive!
