Bengalis and Biryanis are inseparable. To cater to this undying love for Biryanis, new Mughlai restaurant “Marufaz Daawat e Mughlai” organized a Biryani festival at their flagship Behala outlet. The Biryani festival was graced by the presence of Tollywood actress Koneenica Banerjee along with Chef Mustak.
So what is so new and unique about the Biryani festival held at Marufaz. Chef Mustak said “The Biryani festival is unique as we have seven different non-vegetarian Biryanis for the customers. There is also a vegetarian Biryani for the vegetarian food lovers. Hyderabadi Kachhi Gosht Ka Biryani, Murg Tikka Biryani is some of the specialities of this festival. These recipes have not been introduced in any restaurant in the city. For the Fish Biryani, we have used Bhetki”.
Mutton Lucknowi Biryani, Machli Biryani, Prawn Biryani, Moti Biryani are some of the other Biryanis on offer at the festival. Kofta Subz Dum Biryani is available for the vegetarian lovers. Zafrani Firni is also in the list to cater to the sweet tooth of the food lovers.
Koneenica Banerjee who posed for pictures readily enquired whether there is an outlet of this restaurant near her house at Bhawanipore. “I am so glad that there is a take away outlet in Bhawanipore, near my house. Yes, I love Biryanis and I do diet due to the demands of my profession. What I actually do is to eat less, but rejecting Biryani completely is not possible. Like all Bengalis I simply love this dish” said the pretty actress.
Apart from this, the normal menu of the restaurant also boasts of some yummy dishes. Chef’s special Biryani (both mutton and chicken), Chef’s special mutton are some of the special dishes in the menu. Zafrani Tangri kebab, Tandoori Babri Aloo, Paneer Tikka is some of the other important items in the list.
The Biryani festival will continue till the 15th of August in the Behala outlet of this Mughlai restaurant. The pocket pinch for two individuals will be Rs 650 plus taxes.
