Director Swarup Kumar Mondal’s film Aam Sutra’s music launch took place recently in the presence of the cast and crew of the film.
Tollywood is an industry where people from all parts of Bengal come to try their luck. Abhi, Sneha, Madhu, Neel, Suman, Hari and Ariyan also wanted to make their name in the industry. They have formed a production house too. They were enjoying their journey very much. They start shooting a film. But it stopped on the second day. Why? What happens next?
The music of the film is by Pritam Kundu. The lyrics have been penned down by Pritam Kumar Kundu, Swarup Kumar Mondal, Sabyasachi Mondal and Sneha Roy Chowdhury. Rupankar, Miss Diya, Samantak Sinha, Mollar Karmakar, Debolina Haldar, Tanmoy Chatterjee and others have lent their voices to the songs in the film.
Biswajit Chakraborty (Mr. Sagar), Kharaj Mukherjee (Bhajo da), Taniya Paul (Madhu), Sumantaa Mukherjee (Suman), Amit Biswas (Hari), Swarup Kumar Mondal (Avi) and others will be seen in pivotal roles in this film.
The premiere of the Bengali film Black Coffee took place at Priya Cinema recently. Present at the event was director Atanu Bose, Saswata Chatterjee, Anupam Roy, Koel Dhar and others.
The film Black Coffee is essentially a relationship drama. The film is the story of Tirtharaj Roy who is a well known director. Srabani (Paoli Dam) is an actress and few incidents centered around Srabani made Tirtharaj take special notice of her. As a result of this, many incidents happen and that causes havoc in Tirtharaj’s personal life.
Saswata Chatterjee who plays Tirtharaj said “I have done my bit. Now the audience will decide. If they like it, please ask the others to watch the film”.
The film also stars eminent actors like Biswajit Chakraborty, Badshah Moitra, Shankar Chakraborty, Partha Sarathi Deb, Swagata Basu and Biplab Chatterjee in pivotal roles.
Supriyo Dutta is the DoP while Sanjib Dutta has edited the film. “Black Coffee” is produced under the banner of “Fire Bird Entertainment”, powered by Mr. Mrinal Kanti Chatterjee.
The shooting of the upcoming Bengali film Sesh Chithi is currently in progress in different parts of the city.
The story of the film is about Mamata Devi who is shown reading a last letter written by her late husband Shibnath. Her daughter and son-in-law have put her in the old age home and moved back to Mumbai. It is while going through the letter that many memories come flashing by.
Soumitra Chatterjee, Lily Chakraborty, Mouboni Sorcar, Kharaj, Priyanka, Biswajit Chakraborty and others will be seen in pivotal roles in the film.
The music of the film is by D. Sudhir and Srija Banerji. The film has been produced by D. Sudhir Productions.
The shooting of the upcoming Bengali film Seshbela took place at Belgachia Rajbari. Present at the shooting was Amaan Reza, Payel Mukherjee, Biswajit Chakraborty and others.
A marriage reception was being shot at the location. Speaking about the role, actress Payel said “I have three ages shown in the film. My college life, married life and my life at the age of sixty five years are the three phases shown in the film. Workshops have been done so as to aid me in playing the role of the sixty five year old lady. For playing the aged lady, I not only had to work on my voice but also on the way I walked and talked too”.
Bangladeshi actor Amaan Reza who is making his debut in Bengali films in India with this film mentioned that he was having a good time shooting the film. “The message that the film wants to give is that people usually want to spend the last days of their lives with their loved ones. But in today’s cosmopolitan lifestyle, that is often not possible. The film will appeal to one and all” said the talented actor.
Lily Chakraborty, Anirban Bhattacharya, Subrata Guha Roy will be seen in pivotal roles in the film. The story and script is by Ashish Dey and the music has been composed by Sumit Barik.
Kiriti Roy, the Bengali sleuth created by writer Nihar Ranjan Gupta is the newest detective which has caught the fancy of the Bengali film directors. Many Bengali film directors are now making films on this Bengali sleuth. Director Anirban Paria is currently shooting the new Kiriti film in different places in the city.The story that the director has selected is Ratibilaap.
The story of Ebong Kiriti is about a new theatre named Na Bola Shakuntala. The actors who play Dusmanta and Shakuntala in the play are also lovers in real life. Dusmanta offers Shakuntala gold ring as token of his love. Stone trader Raghab Roy creates pressure on her uncle Professor Bimal Chowdhury to arrange his marriage with him. He also creates pressure on Subimal Sen, theatre director to make Shakuntala incline towards him. Meanwhile Bimal Chowdhury is assassinated. Shakuntala appoints Kiriti Roy who goes on to unveil the murderer.
Director Anirban Paria said “The fact that I chose Priyangshu is because I feel he can do justice to the character which has such depth and intelligence. When I narrated the script, he agreed readily. He will surely be a great sleuth to watch on screen”.
The film Ebong Kiriti stars Priyangshu Chatterjee (Kiriti), Barun Chanda, Ankita Chakraborty, Saugata Bandpadhyay (Subrata), Koushik Kar, Anirban Bhattacharya, Sourav Chakraborty, Moumita Gupta and Biswajit Chakraborty will be seen in pivotal roles in the film.
The shooting of the film is currently being held in different parts of the city. The film is produced under the banner of Dream Light Movie.
