What is life without love? With Valentine’s Day just about a month away, many couples are already planning what they will give their loved ones. Tollywood has already a new Bengali film to keep the audiences engaged. The love story for the season of romance is named Tomake Chai and directed by Rajib.
A tragic-romance to the core, Tomake Chai is the untold story of unrequited love. Bonny and Koushani play the lead roles as Joy and Diya respectively. The two has been paired again after the immensely successful Parbona Ami Charte Toke. Drawing from the theme of Tomake Chai, love and longing are the embodiment of the very first poster of the film.
The film stars Bonny Sengupta, Koushani Mukherjee, Supriyo Dutta, Biswanath and others in pivotal roles. Tomake Chai releases on 1st Feb.

The setting is that of a marriage hall. People in their finest dresses can be seen moving all over the place talking with each other. However all of a sudden there is a sudden buzz among the assembled guests as the bride has run away. This is precisely the setting of the upcoming Bengali film Janla Diye Bou Palalo. To recreate such a setting, director Aniket Chattopadhyay organized the press conference at Sudesh Bhawan to give the people a feel of the story. Arjun Chakraborty, Lama Halder, Savvy, Biswanath, Amrita Chattopadhyay and others were present to grace the press conference.
Known for his comic timing, director Aniket Chattopadhyay’s soon to release film Janla Die Bou Palalo is based on the comic genre. “The film is essentially a romantic comedy. It has comedy of errors. The entertainment quotient is high in the film and the comedy is not slap stick. It is genuine rib tickling comedy which will provide you with two hours of pure entertainment”.
The story of the film revolves around Upa Gupta (Arjun Chakraborty) who wants to become a singer by profession. However this career option is unacceptable to his parents. They want him to continue with his medical studies. Mimi (Amrita Chattopadhyay) who is enrolled as a student in Presidency College in Economics department is forced by her parents to marry the boy of their choice. Both Mimi and Upa Gupta run away from their home. What follows next is a cat and mouse chase.
Produced by Jalan International Film, the film is slated for release on October 17.
