The concept of this serial is by Sahana Dutta. “We have all grown tired of the Saas-Bahu serials. Hence this is a new venture both for the makers and the audience too. When we made Goyenda Ginni, we took the risk and we have been successful. The same thing is attempted with this serial too. The first time I saw Arshiya on the sets of another serial, I was impressed with her and asked the channel authorities to book her. I then wrote this role for her” said Sahana.

Directed by Anupam Hari, the role of Bhutu is enacted by six year old Arshiya Mukherjee. Speaking about Arshiya, the director said “She is a talented actress already. We do not have to tell her how to enact a particular scene. She does it all by herself. She even delivers the dialogues of the other actors at times. She is very sharp and equally intelligent”.

Arshiya who is from Bansdroni is a student of JD Birla School. The Upper Kg student loves to gorge on ice-creams and loves watching cartoon shows specially Doraemon, Ninja Hatori and Sinchan. Her nickname is Gonu but she loves the name Bhutu more. “One of my friend’s mother fainted after watching me on television” added the cute actress flashing a smile.

“There will come a time when the audience will feel that the ghost Bhutu should remain a ghost as ghosts are less complicated than humans. When this will happen, I will feel that I have been successful with this show” added Sahana.

The script is by Mallova Dutta while the camera work has been done by Debasis Chandra Das.

The serial Bhutu will start from 14th March onwards at 9 Pm on Zee Bangla.
