Video: Rishi Kapoor Attend Session Khullam Khulla at TSKLM 2017
Rishi Kapoor was present at the Tata Steel Kolkata Literary Meet 2017 in a riveting session titled Khullam Khulla. The name of the session is incidentally the name of the autobiography written by the Bollywood actor which released recently.
The actor was engaged in the conversation by Shantanu Roy Choudhury.
Speaking at the occasion, the actor said “Many people think that since my father was such a popular director, I had it all easy. But the fact is I had to struggle as much as the other actors. I just got my entry in the world of acting but I had to survive on my own. It was difficult at that time because I became the romantic hero at the time when action heroes were in vogue. And by the time I retired, romantic heroes came into prominence. My timing was so wrong”.
Speaking about his second innings in Bollywood, where he had been regaling the audiences with great performances, he said “It was during a chat with Rakesh Roshan that I felt this urge to try my luck at this age in Bollywood. He had offered me a small role in one of his films but I was not willing to do. He said that at my age what good roles can I get? This propelled me to do good roles. I am glad people accepted me again”.
The actor’s candid talk kept the audience engaged and ensured that they had a good time at the event.
