The makers of Rangoon recently launched the trailer from the film along with three posters. The posters showcase the three main characters in the film portrayed by Kangana, Shahid Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan in different moods.
The film is essentially a period drama which is set in the 1940s. This is the time when India was fighting the war of Independence to get freedom from the Colonial rulers.
There was a buzz that the film is a biopic, but the director had made it clear that it is not so. It is purely a work of fiction. But Bhardwaj has set the record straight saying that the movie doesn’t follow the life of any of the various actresses of the era.
Rangoon is a love triangle where Kangana Ranaut plays the role of Julia, a seductress and Saif Ali Khan who plays a filmmaker in love with her. Shahid Kapoor will be seen playing the role of a soldier named Nawab Malik who falls in love with Julia during a train journey.

The premiere which took place at PVR Cinemas Mumbai witnessed the protagonists of the film, Hollywood superstar Vin Diesel and Deepika Padukone along with the director of the film – DJ Caruso walking the red carpet and greeting their Indian fans at the venue.
This film marks the debut of Bollywood diva Deepika Padukone in Hollywood. She has already been getting good feedback of her stunts and look in the film. India is a fast growing market for English films and hence this film was released here first.

Ace film-maker Vishal Bhardwaj has definitely gone the extra mile this time for his larger than life period drama Rangoon. The director flew down Norway-based choreographer Sudesh Adhana to train Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut for the song Blood Hell. The actress will be playing the role of a diva in the soon to release movie.
Sudesh is not just a choreographer but also a lecturer in modern dance. Vishal Bharadwaj collaborated with him on an opera in Paris, A Flowering Tree, which was directed by him and choreographed by Sudesh. Then they worked again for Haider’s Bismil which bagged him a National Award.
Sharing interesting trivia about the songs Vishal mentioned how Gulzar penned seven to eight options before they zeroed in on Bloody Hell.

‘Singh is Bling’ famed actress Amy Jackson unveiled the cover of Health & Nutrition at an event held at Magna Lounge, Mumbai.
The actress shared various anecdotes on her experience of shooting with Superstar Rajnikanth. She was really surprised at his humility, considering the fact that Rajnikanth is considered as a Superstar. Amy also spoke at length about her action sequences in many Indian films.
She shared an easy camaraderie with the media present at the event and smartly deflected any tricky queries on her relationship status with her charm and wit, maintaining that she is single presently. She also spoke on length on her fitness routines and goals ahead.
The first day at INFOCOM 2016 saw the presence of Bollywood actor Boman Irani at the motivational session. The session was titled It’s never too late to start and was about the will power and passion that every individual has and how that can be utilized to achieve something in life.
Boman Irani began the session by stating how he lost his father at a young age and how he was raised in a home full of ladies only. “That had an effect on me. I used to lisp and was dyslexic. Hence I did not score high grades. When I went for my school admission they showed me pictures where I have to use the S letter. I knew I will lisp and hence I kept quiet. I did not get the admission initially. But later they took me understanding the fact that there was some problem I was hiding” said the actor.
The actor remembered his grandmother’s words who had said that he may become anything but he must be the best in that job. “If you aim for the stars, can you land on the tree top!!” added the actor.
Boman Irani joked that though he may get to work with the top actresses in the industry, the only hitch was he was playing his father or uncle.
The actor interacted with the audience and kept them hooked. His jokes and witty remarks kept everyone amused and the slides of his life’s journey helped in keeping the session interesting.
