Aakash Institute, the iconic mentoring institute where thousands of students from all over the country come to chase their dreams presented a grand event called VYOM 2014 to celebrate the success of the students at the engineering and medical entrance examinations. The event took place at the Science City auditorium.
Mr. J. C. Chaudhry took charge of the event and described the journey of the institute over the last 26 years and also highlighted about the future plans. Subsequently students from both engineering and medical streams were awarded with medals for their achievement in JEE (Advanced), JEE (Main), AIPMT and WBJEE. Jwala Gutta gave away the prizes for the “Aakashians of the year”.
Jwala Gutta, one of the most promising badminton players of India who was also present at the event to give away the prizes to the students said “This is a grand occasion and I am happy to be a part of such an occasion. One should always have a never say die attitude. Only then will an individual be able to move on ahead in their lives. I wish the students all the very best for their future”.
Eminent singer KK took the stage and mesmerized the audience with one song after another. Some of the songs which he sang include “Sach keh raha hain deewana”, “Yaaron doston bari hi haseen hain”, “Bas ek pal”, “Tu hi meri shab hain”, “Dil khudgarz hain” and many more. He even sang a Bengali song “Akasher neel e” for which he thanked music director Jeet Ganguly.
VYOM 2014 was an event to remember for the students who studied at Aakash Institute.

New Bollywood Movie Lekar Hum Deewana Dil that marks the debut of Armaan Jain and Deeksha Seth has already created a buzz in the film circle owed to its sensational music as it is none other than the musical wizard A.R Rahman holding on to the reigns of the compositions and now the team is out with their new song ‘Tu Shining’.
Along with many a romantic and party numbers the recently released song ‘Tu Shining’ is another beautiful track that the movie boasts of as it is not only a treat to the ears but to the eyes too as the music video shows the stars Armaan and Deeksha enjoying the fun filled days of college. And as we all would agree, the years spent in college are definitely special in every body’s life, the song invariably invokes a feeling of nostalgia and leaves behind a feel good factor.
Tu Shining like all the other songs in the movie has been composed by A.R Rahman and has been sung by Hriday Gattani. The New Bollywood Movie ‘Lekar Hum Deewana Dil’ is presented by Illuminati Films and Eros International and is written and directed by Arif Ali who as we all know s director Imtiaz Ali’s sibling.

Amit Kumar, the ace singer visited the R.D.Burman Statue to pay homage to his mentor to celebrate the singer’s Platinum Jubilee year. The event was organized by Amit Kumar Fan Club.
R. D. Burman was born on 27th June, 1939. He was considered to be one of the most versatile music composers of the Indian film industry. He was the son of the eminent music composer Sachin Dev Burman. Nicknamed as Pancham da, he scored the music for more than 331 movies. From the 1960s to the 1990’s he not only scored the music for films but had also lent his voices to many a film. He did a majority of his work with Kishore Kumar and his wife, singer Asha Bhosle. Even after his death, his songs are a source of inspiration for the Indian music directors.
R. D. Burman is also credited with bringing in a revolution in Bollywood music. His music has a wide range of influences from several genres. Electronic rock was made popular by him in Bollywood. He also experimented by mixing disco and rock elements with that of traditional Bengali folk music. The music director was heavily inspired by Western, Latin, Arabic and Oriental music. To create different musical sounds he also rubbed sand paper and knocked bamboo sticks together. He was indeed a master music composer.
The statue of R. D. Burman has been installed near Nazrul Manch in South Kolkata. This statue has been set up and maintained by the Amit Kumar Fan Club.
