The shooting of the upcoming Bengali film Jowar Bhata is currently in progress in Kolkata. Gajendra Chauhan, Papiya Adhikari, Mita Chatterjee, Eereen, Biswajit Chakraborty along with director Milan Bhowmik was present at the shooting.
The story of the film is about retired BSF commander Akhilesh Sharma. He has always placed his duty towards the motherland before his family duties. As a result he has been cut off from them. When he retires and comes back, he understands that his life has become empty as his family has gone away from him. He also finds that while he has been protecting the border, the inside of the country is rotting from corruption. What will he do next?
Speaking at the occasion, Bollywood actor Gajendra Chauhan said “It is a great privilege to again work with Milan da in this film. I am glad he thought me fit for the role. The character of the BSF commander that I play has always placed his duty for the mother land before anything. As a result he has not been involved in his duties as a family man. This is a good role and I hope I will be able to live up to the expectations of Milan da”.
The story and script is by Partha Mitra and the music is by Soumitra Kundu. The dialogues in the film is in Hindi and Bengali. The film is produced by Dream Makers 2011 and Hasan Films. The shooting of the film in North Bengal is complete and the director has plans of shooting the film at the BSF camp in West Bengal too.
