Raichak on Ganges is a 100 acre premium leisure destination comprising a hotel, boutique resort, spa, country club and theme based country homes. To usher in the festive season, an elaborate cake mixing ceremony was arranged at The Ffort Raichak, with General Manager Mayukh Ray, model-actress Ushoshi Sengupta along with designers Lopamudra Mandal Saha and Indroneel Mukherjee. The environment was charged with pre-Christmas cheers and songs playing in the background.

Cake Mixing is traditionally done to celebrate the advent of Christmas and the start of winter festivities. It is also considered to be an usher for good tidings and happiness.

The 100 kilo mixture had an abundant amount of colorful cherries, dates, plums, assorted dry fruits, currants, sultanas, dried figs, glacé cherries, brown sugar, almonds flakes and liquor like wine, rum and whiskey was in abundance to soak the fruit in. Spices like cardamom, cloves and cinnamon sticks were roasted and added for a rich flavor.

Ffort Raichak has a weeklong celebration during December when they will be organizing their flagship Fort Fiesta, which is a celebration with special programs. There will be a lot of guests during that time and everything works up to the 31st which is a gala night for them. Pop up bands playing in the lobby will ensure great music.

The fresh baked matured tasty plum cake will be available from December onward.

Usher in Christmas Festivities With Cake Mixing Ceremony at The Stadel

The chill has already set in the city of Joy and hotels are gearing up for the upcoming festive season. Since Christmas is just around the corner, The Stadel like other hotels in the city organized a cake mixing ceremony. The event was graced by the presence of eminent dignitaries like Rita Bhimani, Puja, Anindita Banerjee Roy, Shilpi Jaiswal, Vincenza Bufalo and others.

It is believed that cake mixing ceremony is a harbinger of good fortune and hence this starts a few weeks before Christmas. It is also believed by many that the more the number of people mixes the ingredients, the bountiful the coming year is.

A Thanksgiving brunch was also organized at the event. The Thanksgiving Brunch consisted of salads, soups, starters, main course and desserts.

Nuts, chopped fruits, wines and juices were mixed in the cake by the eminent personalities at the event.

Byomkesh Pawrbo Team Takes Part in Cake Mixing at The Gateway Hotel, Kolkata

With the Christmas season around the corner, the team of the upcoming Bengali film Byomkesh Pawrbo geared up to mark the promotion of their film at The Gateway Hotel. To set the Christmas spirit high, the cast and crew of the Sharadindu Bandopadhyay adaptation, ‘Byomkesh Pawrbo’ took part in the age-old tradition of cake mixing.

Abir-Sohini-Sarkar

The story of Byomkesh Pawrbo begins just after India gained independence. Byomkesh will make his way in the jungles of Doars solving the enigma of the ghost rider and accompanying murders in North Bengal. Directed by Arindam Sil, the star cast of the film includes Abir Chatterjee, Sohini Sarkar, June Maliah, Ritwick Chakraborty, Kaushik Sen, Sayantika and others in important roles.

The film is slated for release in December.

Cake Mixing at Mani Square Mall to Usher in Christmas Festivity

Cake mixing ceremonies have become a part of the tradition to spread the warmth of the festive season the world over. The city of Kolkata is also not behind. Said to be a harbinger of good tidings and happiness, people from different walks of life come together on the occasion to participate in the event and bask in the bonhomie.

Mani Square, one of Kolkata’s most popular retail destinations, hosted a cake mixing ceremony to mark Children’s Day and also to celebrate the onset of the Christmas season. Noted dancer Tanushree Shankar with students from her Tanushree Shankar Dance Academy, artist Eleena Banik, filmmaker Anindita Sarbadhicari and Nilanjana Chakraborty and their children participated in the ceremony along with Mr Sanjay Jhunjhunwala, CEO, Mani Group and Ms Sudarshana Gangulee, Senior General Manager, Mani Group. This is the first time this ceremony is being held in any shopping mall in Kolkata.

At the cake mixing ceremony, huge quantities of assorted hank-picked dry fruits, aromatic spices, fruit and premium spirits that would go into making the delicious cakes at the end of the year were mixed together. The happiness on the children’s faces served with special goodies at the Mani Square Food Court afterwards, made the event a grand success.

Cake Mixing at Park Plaza to Usher in Christmas Activities

Park Plaza organized a cake mixing ceremony recently in the august presence of Mr. Oliver Cassin, Deputy Consul, Consulate General De France, Mr. Marc Salesse, Consulate Officer, Consulate General De France, Subrata Banerjee, General Manager, Park Plaza and others.

With the help of this cake mixing ceremony, the tradition of cake mixing was revived with the people of the city. This cake mixing is usually done before Christmas.

Amidst loads of cheer, loads of ingredients like cherries, rum, whiskey, wine, fruits and others were mixed by the assembled guests. The mixed ingredients will be used in the making of plum cakes and puddings.
