Process TheatreZ, Mumbai “ISOLATION” – A solo photography show by Nazia Khan was inaugurated by ace cinematographer Ranjan Palit, documentary film maker Supriyo Sen and senior journalist Dr. Shoma A Chatterjee at Chitrakoot Art Gallery.
The Series premiered at Honeycomb Art Gallery, Bangalore on 19th August, 2016. The Second Edition of ISOLATION Series is being held in Kolkata which will be soon followed by Goa, Pune and Mumbai.
Speaking about her solo photography exhibition, Nazia Khan said “I travel a lot and with this exhibition I have put up a testimony to the various places that I have traveled to!! There are many questions which remain unresolved in the moments that I have captured. Isolation may have positive meaning for some people and negative meaning for someone. My pictures have human beings, animals and nature captured in different aspects of isolation”.
This is Nazia’s first exhibition in her home town. She also went to reveal how she gradually began honing her skills. “I had a small Nikon film camera initially. Then I shifted to digital camera before buying a professional camera. Having a good camera helps. But what you are capturing and the technique you are using is more important” said Nazia.
The exhibition will be open from 1st – 5th December. The photographs are also available for sale.
