Cultural Program to Observe Safer Society Day; Rituparna Sengupta, Samidh Graces Occasion

Bishwa Bandhan Foundation (India) for Cerebral Palsy observed Safer Society Day recently. A cultural program was organized to celebrate this day. The event was graced by Rituparna Sengupta, Samidh, Lopamudra Mitra and other eminent dignitaries.

The foundation’s sole aim is to save the lives of those people who are losing their lives due to lack of medical awareness. They would like to promote medical awareness amongst the common people with support from doctors. They will also like to educate everyone about the mishaps which can happen due to lack of medical knowledge.

These continued efforts of the organization have been supported by different heads of states namely the King and Queen of the Netherlands, President of India, Governor and Chief Minister of West Bengal, world famous musicians like David Garrett, player, head of the organizations like Michel Platini, president of UEFA, Chairman of UBS and celebrities of different parts of the world.

Thus, with the help of these activities, they hope to save the lives of many people who lose their lives due to lack of medical awareness.

Actress Konineeca Overwhelmed to See Performances by Children of Basha: A Home for the Underprivileged

Basha, a home for the underprivileged children in Kolkata organized a cultural evening Basha 2016, where the little inmates of Basha shoecased brilliant performances. The occasion was graced by the august presence of renowned Tollywood actress Konineeca Banerjee who was mesmerized by the stunning performances of the children.

The evening began with a compilation of songs which was followed by a drama named ‘Beauty and the beast’ and a dance drama ‘Ritu Ranga’.

“I am so honored that I could be a part of this cultural event. All the performances were flawless and I enjoyed every moment. It is over whelming to see so much talent in these little ones. I wish them all the best for a bright future and wish to be part of many more such events of Basha,” said Konineeca Banerjee.

Speaking at the occasion, Ms. Saswati Arora, Founder, Basha said, “At Basha we always strive to provide the children with all round development. Few of our students have been enrolled for degree course in Bharatnatyam while a few others go for golf courses in RCGC. It is wonderful to see these children showcase their talent at these events and I pray for their bright future”.
