The audio album remembering Kadambari Devi, Shrimati Hey, directed by Chaitali Dasgupta was re-released in the presence of veteran novelists like Navaneeta Dev Sen, Bani Basu at Weavers Studio. The album was brought out by Hindusthan Records.

Kadambari, Rabindranath Tagore’s sister in law took up his responsibility after his mother died when he was yet a child. She later turned out to be his muse. She had entered the Tagore household when Rabindranath was a young boy aged seven. When she willfully left this world, Rabindranath was twenty-four. The poet knew her for seventeen years and Kadambari inspired and influenced his prolific works throughout his life.

As a tribute to this extra-ordinary woman, who was affectionately addressed as “Shrimati Hey”, this research-based audio feature was published during her 150thanniversary in 2009.Taking advantage of the genre of biographical feature some writers have churned out distorted ‘best-sellers’ with imaginary “suicide notes” and maligned both the poet and his muse. It was re-launched to record the protest against this disgusting attempt and to make the audience see the reality of a relationship that was central to the life of a genius.
